WWI CATTERICK GARRISON REMEMBRANCE

WWI CATTERICK GARRISON REMEMBRANCE

This permanent tribute to fallen soldiers was commissioned in 2018 to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

Details of the four stone statues designed to face the four approach roads to the central roundabout, located on the site of the original railway line, are available here.

Image shows a circular stone bench surrounding a large evergreen tree. The seat has bottle-shaped balusters supporting a top/seat engraved with the words “see the generous spirit of a man who planted trees for future generations” and “don’t waste time”
