Customer Service and Projects Coordinator

Location: Leyburn, North Yorkshire | Hours: 40 per week | Pay: From £14 per hour | Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a full-time proactive and highly organised Customer Service and Projects Coordinator to play a central role in managing customer enquiries, quotations, orders and communication across the business. Ideal for someone with customer service experience in construction, building products or a project-led environment, this role offers the opportunity to join a well-established natural stone business in the Yorkshire Dales, supporting projects connected to heritage craft, traditional materials and quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers by phone and email, handling enquiries in a professional and timely way.
  • Prepare, process and track customer quotations, orders and related paperwork accurately.
  • Coordinate with commercial, production, yard and delivery teams to provide updates and help meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customer and order records on internal systems.
  • Follow up outstanding information, resolve queries and help ensure orders progress smoothly from enquiry to completion.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues across the business.
  • Support general customer service and administrative processes to help deliver a consistently high standard of service, and practically support the senior management team.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales support, coordination or administration, ideally within construction, building products, manufacturing or a project-led environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) and a professional, approachable manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and a willing to learn bespoke internal systems.

Desirable

  • Experience working with architects, contractors, builders’ merchants or project-based customers.
  • An understanding of construction materials, building products or project scheduling.
